January 23 and Febraury 27 - A discussion amongst 6th graders to address bullying issues at DMS.
Bully Beware
Counselors will be in the classrooms during the month of Sept for Bully Beware Lessons.
6th grade visits - Sept 25th; The Four Types of Bullying and Preventative Strategies.
7th grade visits - Sept 26th; focused on rumors, gossip and the responsibility of the Bystandered.
8th grade visits - TBA; focused on Cyber Bullying.
*Please talk to your student about bullying; what they see, how handle conflict and what would they do if they saw or knew of someone being bullied.

Hurtful actions affect the targeted person, witnesses, and the entire campus climate.
When bystanders take action they promote respect for themselves and others.
