Hello Day Defenders,
My name is Annette Bonaventura, and I’m thrilled to continue serving the Day Middle School community as a proud Defender! This is my fifth year at DMS and my 18th year in the district. With over 25 years in education, I’ve had the privilege of working across both elementary and secondary levels in a variety of roles—including instructional assistant, noon-duty supervisor, classroom teacher (primarily in Language Arts), specialist, and now, Assistant Principal.
Throughout my career, my passion has remained unwavering: supporting the growth and success of every student. I truly believe that all students have the potential to thrive, and it is our shared responsibility to create an environment where that growth is not only possible but inevitable. Together, we will continue to cultivate a campus that is safe, inclusive, and academically enriching.
Outside of school, I’ve been happily married for 25 years and am the proud mom of two amazing boys. I love spending time at the beach, making memories with my family, and visiting my favorite place in the world—Italy. I cherish the history, culture, and especially the opportunity to connect with extended family there.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and working in partnership to make Day Middle School a place we are all proud to call home. Guided by our school motto, “One Heart One Mind,” I know that together we will continue to achieve great things for our students and community.
